Alumni Program

Dear Alumni:

We would like to take the time to tell you about our alumni program which is crucial to Serenity Park’s growth and survival. We have developed a yearly calendar and would like for each alumni to pick one day out of the year to donate $100.00 to the Park. You may pick any day you wish or your sobriety date. The alumni program is entitled, One Day At A Time, which is the only way we as alcoholics can survive and the Park as well.

The names of donors will be engraved on a plaque and placed in the respective men’s or the women’s facility. Enclosed is a pledge card to be filled out and returned so we can adjust our calendar accordingly. If each alumnus will participate we can fill 365 days of the year and will be able to assist with expenses for the Park and the new women’s facility. The phrase, “maximum service to God and our fellows” comes to mind when I think about this project. The cost to you breaks down to $8.33 per month which is a small price to pay for your sobriety.

Every year alumni will receive this letter as a reminder of their pledge and the date this is to be mailed to the Park. This is an important part of your ability to give to others. If we don’t grow we will have to go. Remember somebody helped you while you were here and you must give to help someone else. There is more blessing in giving than there is in receiving. The benefits will come back to you ten-fold. How a person manages their finances is a direct reflection as well of how they are doing in terms of growth and sobriety. We will also have alumni activities scheduled throughout the year, which you will be invited to attend.

Thank you for taking the time to assist us with our mission and vision. We fully intend to continue in our efforts to help the alcoholic/addict and look forward to working closely with you in this endeavor.
